For nearly two decades, chef and restaurateur Art “Tony” Ramadani built a following at Mamma Mia’s, a beloved Riverside Italian restaurant housed in a historic red-brick building.
Now he’s starting over in the same space, at 3124 E. Belknap St., with a new name and new concept. With two family members by his side, Ramadani recently opened Smokey Beards Q, a halal-focused smokehouse that marks a dramatic shift in his restaurant career.
“It’s great to be back,” he says. “You know what’s cool — some of the customers I had from Mamma Mia have already come in and welcomed us back. Fort Worth, it’s such a welcoming community.”…
