An unidentified man was killed last Saturday after he was struck and trapped under a truck on northbound State Highway 360 near East Avenue J in Arlington, police said. The fatal crash choked off the entrance ramp during the early commute and left investigators working the scene for hours as they tried to sort out how it all unfolded.
Officers were called at about 5:09 a.m. for reports of a pedestrian hit in the northbound lanes and arrived to find the man pinned underneath a truck, according to The Dallas Morning News. Investigators determined the man had been traveling north in a Dodge Durango with a woman when the Durango stopped along the highway. He got out of the vehicle and began walking in the lane of travel on the entrance ramp. A 2025 Ford Maverick entering the ramp then struck him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Arlington police, the driver of the Ford immediately stopped, cooperated with investigators and is not facing criminal charges “at this time.” The woman who had been with the man was not injured, authorities said…
