Tarrant County juries delivered sentences in two separate child sexual assault cases this week, resulting in a combined 92 years of prison time for the defendants. On Friday, March 13, 2026, 37 year old Juan Trevino was sentenced to 37 years in prison, while 35 year old Donnell English received a 55 year sentence in a different courtroom.
In the first case, a jury found Trevino guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14. The investigation began in December 2019 when an 8 year old girl informed authorities that Trevino had been sexually assaulting her since the age of 4. During the trial, evidence was presented indicating that Trevino had also sexually assaulted a second, younger girl. The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Alec Trono and Steven Elliott.
In a separate trial last week, Donnell English was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child. The case originated after a young girl reported that English sexually assaulted her multiple times while she was in kindergarten. According to testimony, English instructed the child to keep the assaults a secret after the initial incident.
