Saturday night’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event at Kennedale (Texas) Speedway Park was canceled following a medical emergency during staging for the Last Chance Showdown.
According to a report from Kennedale News, the situation began when Sprint Car driver Marcus Thomas flipped while entering the racing surface prior to the LCQ. As safety crews responded to assist Thomas and organize cars preparing to enter the track, two side-by-side vehicles operated by officials reportedly collided in the infield.
