Dallas, Texas – A sharp early-morning cold snap is pushing temperatures well below freezing across North Texas, threatening plants and outdoor plumbing across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex before sunrise Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a Freeze Warning remains in effect from 4 a.m. until 9 a.m. CDT Monday for a large portion of north-central and northeast Texas, including the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Temperatures in some rural locations could fall as low as 18°F, creating a hard freeze capable of damaging early-season vegetation…
