South Texas Vocational Technical Institute (STVT) in Arlington, TX, launched its STVT Automotive Service Technician program on March 16, 2026. Ancora Education announced the new offering as part of its effort to expand skilled trades training and support workforce development in Texas.
The new program adds automotive training to the campus’s existing skilled trades offerings. STVT said the program will prepare students for entry-level roles in the automotive service field through classroom instruction and hands-on training.
“The addition of the Automotive Service Technician program enhances the range of training paths we offer students at STVT,” Kimberly Knox, President at STVT Arlington said. “We’re proud to expand our offerings in the automotive services industry workforce.”
