North Texas police arrest woman for DWI with a child, aggravated assault

ARLINGTON, Texas — A woman was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years old, police said

Officers with the Arlington Police Department responded on March 21 to a bar in the 500 block of E. Front Street to investigate a reported fight, the police department said in a press release. When they arrived, police said they found a 21-year-old woman who told them she had gotten into a verbal argument with a family member, identified as 33-year-old Dominic Echols.

The argument escalated into a physical fight outside the bar, police said. Echols retrieved a gun and pistol-whipped the victim, police said, before leaving the scene in her vehicle with several other people, including children…
