Tiffany Derry Turns Grand Prairie Waterfront Into Her Next Big Play

Dallas-born chef Tiffany Derry, now a familiar face to TV viewers as a judge on MasterChef, is gearing up to debut her latest venture in North Texas: The Landing. The new spot aims to mash up sports-bar buzz with lounge energy and a live-music backdrop, all wrapped in what Derry describes as a cozy “living room” feel for visitors to Grand Prairie’s EpicCentral. Early peeks at the menu lean hard into Southern comfort, including smoked brisket egg rolls and a nostalgic fried bologna sandwich.

According to The Landing, the gastropub is slated to open on April 9 at 2951 S State Highway 161 inside the EpicCentral entertainment district in Grand Prairie. The site lists weekend and evening hours and bills the concept as a “gastro pub + sports bar + social lounge” geared toward big-screen game watching and live performances.

Menu Brings Southern Comfort To Game-Day Classics

The Dallas Morning News reports that The Landing’s lineup includes smoked brisket egg rolls, spicy guacamole with plantain tostones, and an artichoke and mustard-green dip. The paper also points to a fried bologna sandwich with cheddar and house-brined pickles and a pork-chop sandwich on white bread with hot sauce, dishes Derry says nod to her Beaumont upbringing.

EpicCentral Gets A Waterfront Living Room

EpicCentral pitches The Landing as a lakefront hangout with patios, live music programming, and oversized screens ready for game days. Derry told The Dallas Morning News she wanted a place to hang out on the water, with live music and tons of fun on game days, with killer drinks, a description that lines up neatly with the district’s entertainment-first focus.

Derry Builds Out Her North Texas Restaurant Roster

Derry already operates Radici, which has a second location inside EpicCentral, and she and partner Tom Foley also run Roots Southern Table in Farmers Branch. Eater Dallas has tracked Derry’s rapid expansion and festival projects as she grows her T2D Concepts footprint across the Metroplex.

City Money And A Seven-Year Deal Behind The Scenes

City documents show the Grand Prairie council signed off on a restaurant lease for The Landing with T2D, LLC, and approved a 380 economic development agreement tied to the project. The council meeting packet notes a seven-year lease term and a negotiated incentive of $850,000, signaling solid municipal backing for the new EpicCentral addition. More details are outlined in the City of Grand Prairie meeting materials…
