The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a recent homicide as Shameka Miller, a 37-year-old Black woman from Arlington, Texas. Arrest warrants for Murder were issued and served on Javeon Javon Blount and Demarcus Dewayne Elam, who are now in custody. The Sheriff’s Office thanked the Department of Public Safety, Port Arthur Police Department, Port Arthur Fire Marshal’s Office, Nederland Police Department, Beaumont Police Department, and Crimestoppers for their help with the case.
