Irving Man Arrested After Hit-and-Run Crash, Admits to Drinking Before Driving

IRVING, Texas — A 22-year-old man was arrested after a late-night hit-and-run crash that left a truck wrapped around a utility pole, according to Irving Police.

Officers responded around 11:52 p.m. on March 28 to the 3800 block of West Pioneer Drive, where they found a blue 2006 Chevrolet 3500 crashed into a telephone pole. Inside the vehicle, officers located an open beer can and documents identifying the driver as Ezekiel Garcia III.

Witnesses told police that Garcia sideswiped a white Honda Odyssey before veering off the road and crashing into the pole. They said the driver then exited the truck and got into the passenger seat of a Chevrolet Corvette that had been following him, which then fled the scene…
