Texas’ cheapest gas station chain fires up $5.5M upgrades in the DFW

The Strait of Hormuz may have reopened as the U.S. and Iran reach a two-week ceasefire, but that doesn’t mean Texas drivers will feel immediate relief at the gas pumps. Luckily, one chain with a loyal Texas following is making sure its customers, and especially those in North Texas, are getting well cared for. No, we’re not talking about Buc-ee’s or H-E-B.

Costco can now say it is providing the most affordable gas in North Texas, owning three fuel stations with the cheapest gas prices in Dallas and three of the top five cheapest gas prices in Fort Worth, according to WFAA. In Dallas, the Costco at 11220 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75244 stands at the cheapest in the city, charging $3.44 per gallon. But Costco isn’t resting on its achievements; it’s investing millions to further support the droves of drivers heading to the fuel pump.

The Costco at 8282 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75231 will be getting a nearly $5.58 million fuel station addition this summer, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Construction on the 152,035-square-foot project is slated to start on June 22 and is expected to be completed by September 26. The project will construct the fuel station in the existing parking lot, providing 24 fuel pumps to patrons once open…
