Fort Worth missing-person case turns into homicide investigation; one arrested

Fort Worth police arrested a man last Thursday who they say shot and killed his coworker, then dumped the man’s body in a field on the east side of the city, according to a statement.

Gregory D. Lewis, 34, confessed to the crime and faces a capital murder charge, police said.

The victim was originally reported missing to police on April 14 after not having returned from work the previous day, according to the statement. Detectives later found the victim’s car parked outside a Quality Inn off Interstate 20 in Arlington…
