Bob on Business: Tarrant County’s housing market held steady in April

April’s housing market remained steady across the Fort Worth region, according to Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors sales data.

The numbers in Fort Worth:

  • Median home price was down 0.1% from the same month last year to $334.395 for sold properties.
  • Active listings declined 1.2%.
  • Closed sales increased 8.9%, signaling steady demand for homes.
  • Inventory remained the same at 3.7 months, relative to sales trends, as the market heads toward more balanced conditions.

“Home sellers have become accustomed to their home values increasing exponentially year over year, which is not sustainable in the long term,” Shawn Buck, the Realtors association’s 2026 president, said in the release…
