The Texas A&M University downtown campus continues to move ahead.
The Fort Worth City Council approved items connected to the ongoing development of the Texas A&M University downtown campus at an April 28 meeting.
The items were submitted by the Research and Innovation Local Government Corp. board, the city entity that is overseeing the development of the downtown. They included:
- Amendment to agreement between the corporation and AFWP LLC, the master developer on the downtown project. The amendment reduced funds allocated to the developer, because the developer said they weren’t needed.
- Reduction in expenditure. The amendment reduced total developer costs to largely reflect diminished ongoing need for insurance, Roger Venables, the project manager, told the board.
- Returning the university’s unused funds.
