Gaithersburg, MD (JK) – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Patrol Investigative Unit have arrested and charged 24-year-old Elijah Gonzalez of Houston, Texas with theft and possession of a false government identification document.
On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, a victim’s credit card was used to make multiple unauthorized transactions at Costco. The following day, the victim contacted Montgomery County Police when notified of the fraudulent transactions.
The investigation determined that an undisclosed number of products were shipped to a CVS Pharmacy in the 3700 block of University Boulevard West in Kensington. Montgomery County Police responded to the CVS store and seized the packages as evidence. Officers were also informed by the store that a subject, later identified as Gonzalez, had come to the store requesting the packages…
