Deadly, years-long listeria outbreak linked to ricotta sickens Virginians

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A deadly, years-long listeria outbreak linked to ricotta cheese made in Maryland has sickened at least three Virginians.

Over three years after the first reported sickness, on Thursday, June 4, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) alerted the public to a listeria outbreak linked to soft ricotta cheese, or requesón, produced by Clover Hill Dairy in Mechanicsville, Maryland.
