Man dead in third fatal pedestrian crash in Fairfax County in one day

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — Late Thursday night, a man died after being hit by a car in Fairfax County, but the death was the third pedestrian fatality in the county in less than 24 hours.

That’s according to the Fairfax County Police Department, which announced the crashes throughout the day while their officers were still responding to each scene.

The first crash took place in the early-morning hours of Thursday off Richmond Highway and Fort Hunt Road. The next was in the evening, around Leesburg Pike and Munson Hill Road…
