Just as The Burn reported last week, the new IKEA furniture and home accessories store opened its mammoth new location in Chantilly today – Thursday, June 18.
Eager customers rolled into the new store to check out the thousands of products on the showroom floor in the 107,000 s.f. facility.
And of course, one of the first stops for many was the Swedish Deli – the store’s in-house restaurant featuring the iconic meatballs, falafel balls, fish balls, macaroni and cheese, salads, and more.
As we’ve been reporting since last fall, IKEA has taken over space that used to be part of the Dulles Expo Center at the Chantilly Shopping Center just off State Road 28.
