Closest Buc-ee’s To Maryland Takes Major Step Forward As $14.8 Million Land Sale Officially Closes

The future Buc-ee’s location that will become the closest to Maryland residents has reached another major milestone.

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. announced this week that it has completed the $14.8 million sale of more than 35 acres in Stafford County, Virginia, to Buc-ee’s, officially securing the site for the highly anticipated travel center near Exit 140 along Interstate 95.

The land purchase follows Stafford County’s approval of the project in May after a lengthy public meeting that ended with a 5-2 vote by the Board of Supervisors. As previously reported, the proposed location will sit about 52 miles from Bethesda, making it the most convenient Buc-ee’s for many Montgomery County and other Maryland residents…
