Oil-stained rags cause $200K in damages to home undergoing construction in Potomac

POTOMAC, Md. (DC News Now) — Oil-stained and soaked rags caused a fire in a home in Potomac on Saturday morning.

Firefighters from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service were called to a vacant home undergoing construction in the 11900 block of Falkirk Drive, off Coldstream Drive, at around 9 a.m. for reports of a fire.

Three-vehicle crash in Silver Spring affecting traffic

Fire officials said a contractor found smoke and smoke alarms going off.
