The Montgomery County Council will meet on Tuesday, July 14, beginning at 10 a.m., with proclamations recognizing Parks and Recreation Month, Mattie Stepanek Peace Day, National Council of Negro Women Day, and honoring Maryland State Delegate Pamela E. Queen.
The Council will also interview James Hedrick and John Schlichting for a vacancy on the Montgomery County Planning Board, hold public hearings on several bills, including measures addressing unlawful street racing, the Community Trust in County Employees Act, and the VIVA White Oak Development District, and is expected to vote on a $1.1 million special appropriation for Montgomery College to cover expenses related to winter weather, a major pipe burst, utility costs, and staffing.
