Armed Carjacking, Dealership Vehicle Theft Among MCPD’s July 27 Crime Summary

Montgomery County Department of Police officers responded to several serious incidents across the county on Monday, July 27, according to the department’s daily crime summary.

In the 1st District (Rockville, Potomac), officers responded to an armed carjacking around 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Hungerford Dr. A suspect displayed a handgun, ordered the driver out of the vehicle, and drove away.

In the 2nd District (Bethesda, Chevy Chase), a residential burglary was reported Monday after occurring between 1:29 and 3:22 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, in the 4700 block of Hampden La. Someone forced entry into an apartment building and stole property from a storage room…
