The Montgomery County Department of Police has released its daily crime summary, highlighting seven reported incidents from July 29, 2026, including six vehicle thefts and one residential burglary.
The 2nd District, which serves Bethesda and Chevy Chase, reported two thefts. A motorcycle was stolen from the 6400 block of Rock Forest Dr. between Tuesday at 6pm and Wednesday at 6am. A vehicle was also stolen from a parking lot in the 1900 block of Rosemary Hills Dr. between 12:30am and 9:45am Wednesday.
The 3rd District, which serves Silver Spring, reported three incidents. A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot in the 3000 block of Piano Ln. between Tuesday at 5:30pm and Wednesday at 4:30am. Officers also responded to a residential burglary in the 8200 block of Fenton St., where someone entered an apartment and stole property.
