Forecasters expect that activity to expand eastward as the afternoon progresses, with temperatures climbing into the 80s and fueling additional shower and storm development.
Heavy downpours could trigger street flooding
Some of the storms rolling through Sunday afternoon are expected to bring heavy rainfall, raising the possibility of localized street flooding in spots that see the most intense downpours. Drivers are urged to use caution on roadways that tend to collect water quickly during heavy bursts of rain.
