FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) has identified the first documented case of locally acquired dengue virus in the state.
VDH, in collaboration with the Fairfax County and Loudoun County health departments, confirmed an infection in a resident who did not travel outside of Virginia before getting sick, according to a release.
