The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division has released body-worn camera footage from the fatal police-involved shooting involving Montgomery County Police and Gaithersburg Police that occurred on July 12 in Gaithersburg.
The man who died was previously identified as 46-year-old Elliott Powers of Rockville.
According to police, officers from both departments responded at approximately 6:45 p.m. to a bus stop in the 9600 block of Lost Knife Road for a report of an armed man.
