Ever the jokester, Joe Martin chuckled at his own remark.
“I got this kidney from a wonderful lady in Cincinnati, and I looked at the nurse. I said, ‘Well, I got this kidney from a lady in Cincinnati. That explains why all of a sudden I want to get my hair and my nails done,” Martin jested, suggesting he was transforming into a woman, “and I’m rooting for Ohio State – and I’m a Notre Dame fan.”
Martin, 68, survived a rare form of lymph node cancer in his pelvic area in 2022. After 15 rounds of chemotherapy and a few stints in the hospital, he underwent surgery that April and returned cancer-free…
