Ay! Mamá Taqueria is now open in the former Falafel Inc space next to Chick-fil-A. The family-owned Mexican restaurant previously operated at Solaire Social in downtown Silver Spring, where it initially opened under the name J&J Mex-Taqueria before becoming Ay! Mamá Taqueria. The restaurant specializes in birria and other Mexican favorites, describing its concept as focused on fresh ingredients and family recipes.
Hey Tea is scheduled to open later this year in the space previously occupied by Luggage Plus on the lower level. The chain opened its first Montgomery County location in June at 891-F Rockville Pike in Wintergreen Plaza, drawing large crowds with lines that stretched through the shopping center on opening day. The company is widely recognized for specialty teas that combine fresh ingredients, fruit flavors, and its signature cheese foam topping. The menu includes drinks such as Coconut Mango Boom, Triple Supreme Matcha Latte, Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea, and Grape Boom, along with a variety of “boost” tea options.
