Montgomery County Public Schools is reinstating 54 employees whose employment was affected by the expiration of work authorization tied to Temporary Protected Status for El Salvador.
The employees were impacted by rapidly changing federal actions and guidance regarding their ability to continue working in the United States. MCPS said the latest federal guidance, issued online late Wednesday, allows employees with the affected work status to maintain their work authorization while the federal government considers further action.
