A 19-year-old man has pleaded guilty to threatening to bomb a place of assembly after admitting he posted a string of violent messages targeting high schools in Loudoun County, Arlington and beyond. Alexander Blake Berg, who was living in a group home at the time, entered the plea as part of a deal in which prosecutors dropped a separate charge against him, according to court proceedings.
The case traces back to social media posts Berg made under the name Mr. Pimp, according to Loudoun Now. Among the messages attributed to him were the lines “I can’t wait to bomb this stupid high school,” “I am going to bomb this school ok,” “Man I am really going to have fun bombing this high school,” and “F—k I hope everyone dies at that high school I might kill everyone myself.” Loudoun Now reports detectives linked the posts to Berg and that the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office was told he had made Twitter posts threatening several Virginia schools, including Broad Run High School and Woodgrove High School. Berg also threatened a school in Virginia Beach, per the same outlet.
Separately, according to court records cited by ARLnow.com, Berg made a bomb threat against Yorktown High School in Arlington on the social platform X in response to a post from Arlington’s GOP that complained about school flag protocols. Criminal complaint documents cited by the outlet indicate Berg later admitted to law enforcement officers that he posted the bomb threats against the two Loudoun County schools because he was bored and knew his actions amounted to a felony.
An Overnight Search and a Multi-County Arrest
Bomb squad personnel checked the threatened schools as a precaution and responded to each one named in the posts, per Loudoun Now.
