Doughboys Pizza is now open at 15410 New Hampshire Ave. in Cloverly, taking over the former Bear Brick Oven Pizza and Greek Islands Grill space. The restaurant opened Tuesday with a soft opening from 12pm-8pm. The MoCoShow’s own “Mr. MoCo” Alex Tsironis stopped by to support the new locally owned restaurant. Doughboys’ menu currently features nine specialty pizzas, with names that lean into the restaurant’s military-inspired theme. Options include The Doughboy, topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage and crispy bacon; The Yeomanette, featuring vodka sauce, prosciutto and sun-dried tomatoes; and The Commander, a supreme-style pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions.
Other options include The Devil Dog, with pepperoni, ricotta, jalapeños and hot honey; The Fighting Fifth, a white pizza with garlic, mozzarella, ricotta, Asiago, Parmesan and basil; The Argonne, with mushrooms, caramelized onions and ricotta; and The Flying Ace, featuring pineapple, prosciutto and crispy bacon.
