On Sept. 30, Darin Thompson, a former Fairfax County, Virginia, principal turned district administrator, surrendered at the Fairfax County Jail on a felony embezzlement charge.
Fairfax County police say Mr. Thompson used school credit cards to pay nearly $8,000 in personal expenses, including travel and events unrelated to his job. Mr. Thompson has not been convicted.
