Fairfax County police officer accused of shoplifting at Target stores

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A Fairfax County police officer is facing shoplifting charges after he allegedly used a self-checkout trick to steal from two Target stores, officials said.

The accused is Master Police Officer Scott Abram, 44, of Spotsylvania.

Loss-prevention staff at the Target on New Guinea Road said on Sept. 22, Abram used a cheaper item’s barcode to ring up a more expensive item at self-checkout, according to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD). He allegedly left the store with both items after only paying for one…
