MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Park Police officers said that a citizen found a dog wandering a trail in Montgomery County on Monday evening.
A spokesperson with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police (Montgomery County Division) said that a citizen found a mastiff near Lake Needwood around 10:15 p.m. The citizen gave the dog some food and kept him warm in their car until officers arrived.
In a post on the platform X, officials said, “He’s very thin and appears to have been outside for a while, but he is very friendly.”

The spokesperson said that officers took him to the Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center, where workers nicknamed him “Conan.”
