The last original member of ‘The Spinners’ passed away in his Sterling, Virginia home

Henry Fambrough, the last original member of The Spinners passed away in his Sterling, Virginia home of natural causes on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the age of 85, according to Variety.

Fambrough was a founding member of The Spinners. The group is known for hits that include some that fans remember:

Fambrough sang with The Spinners for over seven decades. He just retired last year. His last public appearance was in November 2023 when the group was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

According to the Detroit Free-Press, the singer had spent one month in hospice care before dying at home. Spokesperson Tanisha Jackson said:

“He got to experience those accolades. He was able to bask in the accomplishment, and that was something he was really happy about. He was glad to represent the ones who had gone before him.”
