Bald eagles lay their first egg on Valentine’s Day in Loudoun County

HERNDON, Va. – Valentine’s Day is a day known for love, and for two eagles in Northern Virginia they were able to celebrate the holiday in a big way — a new addition. The Dulles Greenway Eagles announced that Rosa and Lewis laid their first egg at 5:31 p.m. Bald eagles usually lay their eggs three days apart, meaning that a second egg is anticipated for Saturday.
