WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrested a man on Thursday who was accused of stealing over $6,699 worth of merchandise from several CVS stores in D.C.
Police said from June to September 2024, 64-year-old Craig Wilson, of D.C., allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from CVS locations in the Northwest area.
Police said Wilson stole on 23 different occasions from the retail store and would sometimes steal from the same location multiple times in one day.

According to police, on Aug. 19, he took $672.31 worth of merchandise from the CVS store, located on the 1600 block of P St. Police said Wilson stole from this location more than five times over four months.
D.C. police said Wilson also hit the CVS located in the 1000 block of 16th Street about 14 times since June.
Authorities charged Wilson with 23 counts of second-degree theft.
“MPD remains committed to preventing theft from establishments that are lifelines to our communities and will continue to hold offenders accountable,” said D.C. police in a release.
