MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Officials said a utility pole snapped in half following a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery County Monday morning.
In a post on X just before 6:30 a.m., Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said two vehicles collided in the 7000 block of Brink Road, between White House Lane and Laytonville Road.
Piringer said one of the vehicles crashed into a utility pole, causing it to snap in half.
As a result, wires were knocked over, a traffic signal was out and several lanes were blocked Monday morning.
At this time, it is unknown if anyone was hurt.
