JJ Singh wins Virginia House of Delegates seat in District 26: AP

RICHMOND, Va. (7News) — Democrat JJ Singh has claimed victory over Republican Ram Venkatachalam in the race for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates in Loudoun County’s special election, the Associated Press (AP) reports.

The election was held to fill the vacancy left by Kannan Srinivasan, who stepped down after becoming a nominee for a special Senate election. In this race, AP reports that Srinivasan also secured a victory over Republican challenger Tumay Harding.
