Woman gives out 1,600 meals to police officers working presidential inauguration

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Thousands of police officers from across the DMV and the country will be on the streets during the presidential inauguration.

They will be braving the cold to provide heightened security and to manage the crowds and one woman is working to make sure they get a meal to keep them going.

For many hungry and cold officers, Ronie Nosner is their Inauguration Day hero.

“We thank you so much,” Metropolitan Police Department officer, Daler Latif-Zade, said. “We do appreciate you guys as well. It takes a village to raise a child, right? It takes a village to make everybody happy, to keep us strong so that we can serve the community better.”…
