Ever Rafael Cruz, 26, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of second-degree murder and aggravated malicious wounding in the death of Pedro Casalez Cala, Loudoun prosecutors announced.
The deadly beating happened in the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, during a fight at a dog park inside an apartment complex in Ashburn.
