The Frederick Police Department arrested 27-year-old Tevis Denver Findlater of Silver Spring for assault and drug possession after responding to a disturbance on March 31 in the 900 block of W. Patrick Street. Officers found a female victim with severe injuries and seized approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine from Findlater, who is being held without bond.
According to a post on the Frederick Police Facebook page, “FPD officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 900 block of W. Patrick Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male suspect and a female victim inside a room. The victim had visible injuries consistent with repeated physical abuse. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Tevis Denver Findlater of Silver Spring, MD, was immediately separated from the victim to ensure her safety. Officers observed that the room showed signs of a struggle, and the victim had extensive bruising, a large contusion on her forehead, and other injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. She later disclosed that she had been assaulted multiple times.
Emergency medical personnel responded, and the victim was transported to Frederick Health Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Medical staff confirmed that she had sustained a broken back and additional injuries indicative of ongoing abuse…
