Parent of child with autism says PWCS failed to comply with special ed ruling

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A parent who won a ruling against Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) after the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) found the district did not provide the appropriate special education accommodations is now demanding school leaders comply with the ruling.

On a day Brittany Robinson should be celebrating her children, she instead found herself in Wednesday night’s school board meeting confronting school leaders.

“Tonight, on Autism Awareness Day,” Robinson said during the public comment period. “You left a traumatized nine-year-old girl in limbo because preserving your position mattered more than funding her support.”…
