Wawa Is Looking to Make Moves in Northern Virginia

Gas station and convenience food chain Wawa could open around 20 more stores in Northern Virginia, Washington Business Journal reports. The company has retained Rappaport, a McLean-based commercial real estate firm, to scout out possible NoVA locations.

Wawa is looking at potential sites in Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties. WBJ reports that Rappaport is marketing Wawa’s interest to prospective property owners with available locations that meet specific search criteria.

These includes spots in the cities of Alexandria and Fairfax, Pat O’Meara, executive director of brokerage at Rappaport, told WBJ. “We’re now at a point where we’re ready to start rolling,” O’Meara said…
