Second man arrested for 1992 DC cold case murder

WASHINGTON — Nearly 33 years to the day after a 19-year-old was found murdered in Hyattsville, Prince George’s County cold case detectives have made an arrest. This marks the second arrest in the ongoing investigation.

On March 31, 1992, Prince George’s County Police found an unconscious man in Hyattsville. The victim was later identified as Ricardo Burbano of Falls Church, Virginia. The medical examiner found the cause of death was strangulation, multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. Burbano’s death was ruled a homicide.
