Montgomery County police conduct nearly 300 traffic stops along Route 29 corridor

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Law enforcement in Montgomery County conducted nearly 300 traffic stops along the Route 29 corridor on Wednesday as part of a multi-agency “move over” effort.

From the D.C. line to I-70 in Howard County, officers say speeding and other drivers failing to move over for stopped vehicles have been the main problems along the Route 29 corridor.

The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) worked with other agencies to conduct a move over and speed enforcement detail Wednesday, resulting in 271 traffic stops and seven commercial vehicle inspections…
