The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has arrested a 16-year-old from Wheaton and a 17-year-old from Olney on multiple handgun charges following a traffic stop near the Glenmont Shopping Center on April 2, 2025.
According to MCPD, “Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Community Action Team (DCAT) were in the Glenmont Shopping Center area when they observed a Silver Honda make a traffic violation. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, however the driver failed to immediately pull over.
When the vehicle finally came to a stop and officers were conducting their investigation, a rear passenger, later identified as the 16-year-old male, attempted to run from the scene. He was apprehended and taken into custody…
