FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — New weapons screening systems will remain at West Potomac and Thomas Edison High Schools permanently, Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) confirmed to 7News on Thursday.
The systems were first launched as a pilot program at these two schools in April, but now that staff and students have become familiar with the process, they will move on to the next phase. The weapons detectors will stay at the schools for good starting Thursday, May 1.
