Manslaughter Case in Fatal Crash Advances to Grand Jury

The case against an Aldie-area man charged with involuntary manslaughter in a November vehicle crash is advancing to a grand jury after a Loudoun County District Court judge on Wednesday ruled there was sufficient evidence to proceed.

Bijay Tamang, 30, was driving a 2023 Ford Mustang along Tall Cedars Parkway on May 22, 2024, when the car was driven off the road and crashed into trees, ejecting two of the four passengers from the vehicle, according to testimony during the preliminary hearing. One was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to Reston Hospital and pronounced dead there.

According to the third passenger in the car, the group of four worked together at a Chantilly-area restaurant. After work, at approximately 10 p.m., the group and another employee began drinking Jack Daniel’s from a bottle he’d brought, according to witness testimony…
