Maryland man’s disability ID law takes flight – Now he’s pushing for national change

HARRISBURG, Pa. — What began as a Maryland family’s mission to help people with invisible disabilities stay safe is officially becoming law, and the movement is spreading across state lines.

On May 13, Maryland will officially enact Eric’s ID Law, a new policy allowing residents to voluntarily place a butterfly symbol on their driver’s license or state ID.
